Those with ls1's in 3rd gens
Those with ls1's in 3rd gens Alright car is running great and want to thank all those you have helped me along getting this car done. But i have one more thing i need to figure out, my cruise control isn't working. I dont know if theres just somthing wrong with it or if theres somthing i dont know when hooking this up with a ls1. Thanks a lot for any input.

you need to get a 2000ppm signal to the cruise control.
i havent had the pleasure of tinkering with ls1 cruise control, but thats the signal it needs.
are you using the ls1 cruise, or the factory one?
im prolly not much help.... but maybe get you an idea rolling.
i know some of the guys use a buffer box for cruise, and speedo for the stock gauges.

yeah you need a dakota digital conversion box if you are using the third gen vaccuum junk
if your using the 99 stuff? it needs quite a few switches more then the third gen setup runs with.. clutch switch.. brake switch.. vss signal.. ignition..
i just had to fix mine.. turned out to be the set switch was stuck closed on the 99 switch i had.. thru in the 92 one and it worked perfect

i run 97 gauges in a 02 dash. bolts in the same, but uses standard V8 sensors, instead of serial data. my motor is actually carb'd. i have all the factory gauges working without an ecm. lil more complicated with the 98+ gauges.

All my gauges work just fine, speartech did the harness for me. Just my cruise control doesnt do anything when i try to use it. I didnt know if there was somthing wrong with my cruise control or if i am missing somthing when hooking it up.

P.S. - i'm using the stock TPI cruise cable just bent the braket a little so it would engage the throttle.
