Default couple LS1/FD questions

Does the LS1 have a single coolant temp sensor for both the PCM and the gauge? if not, where is the one for the PCM located? if its one, I guess its the one in the head... i was gonna wire a standalone fan system, but this seems pretty easy.

Ditto with AC, just use the LS1 fbody pressure switch and AC control wire on the PCM. unless I am missing something. if thise doesnt work, I could do it "stand alone" but it would be kinda cool to use the factory PCM stuff.

cruise control.. does the PCM handle that, if so.. how? If not.. does the RX7 ECU handle it, or is it a body control module? I am assuming if the Fbody PCM handles it i would need to put a Fbody cruise control unit on the Rx7. Iam going to use a dakota box, so I assume I need to split the signal and send it to the PCM too for cruise info. brake/clutch anticpate seem straight forward

I beleive that the coolant temp sensor sends it's signal to the PCM, then the PCM to the Guage.

I'm not too sure on the cruise control, but i think it's the body module that controls it.

If you're really serious, you'll need all the wiring diagrams for the car, to include the PCM (called engine performance) as well as the Accessories, which will include the cruise, body and guage diagrams.
You can get them all from alldata, Mitchell's or MOTOR. All 3 commonly available at the local library.

It's just a matter of wiring. All the switches are in place inside the PCM and the cruise control box. Then you just add(or reuse the FD ones) some of the miscellaneous switches in the car to make it work.

I'm putting most of this into my never-had-electronics-el camino now, but there is no way I could have done it without the wiring diagrams on hand.

On a 98 the LS1 sends temp readings to the PCM AND the gauge. very other year it's just the PCM, then the PCM sends to the gauge. If you have a 2 wire plug for the temp sensor, it's PCM only, 3 wire, is PCM and gauge.
