Well I’m about ready to fire it up. All I have left to do is:
http://www.circuitflex.com/ReallyClose.jpg
- Block off the heater connections on the water pump (broken heater core in car).
- Add oil to the engine.
- Fill the cooling system with Dex.
- Hook up the battery.
- Energize the fuel pump and adjust the pressure.
- Try to start the beast!

Silicone hump hoses can be found at www.hightempsilicone.com

Frcefed98 got it right, www.airflo.com has it all. I have the pt #'s at the house. Think I used a 4" to 3.5" 90 and a 3.5 to 3.5 coupling.

You know when I was dong my 240Z swap I weighed an LC2 (Buick Grand National) motor complete and then weighed a complete LS1. This weigh in was with all accessories including the turbo, ECM (PCM), headers everything. The LS1 motor was actually only a few pounds heavier than the TB motor. I can round up the numbers if anyone needs them. Sorry for the hijacking; just thought I would toss that piece of info in there.

Fired up today! Man that sucker is loud! (sweet thunder's). One problem thou, after a minute or so the fuel pressure takes a dive. I guess the small strainer filter I put next to the tank is getting plugged up. I'm using a walbro 255lph hooked up to a 3/8" aluminum line and earls super stock fuel hose. I'll drain it tomorrow and try again. Cam is a TR230 and it idles good at 1000 or so. Heads are Absolute Speed stage 2 5.3's Intake is LS6. Oil pressure was really good at idle and super at 2000 rpm.

Looks great!
My only suggestion would be to get/make a strut/stress bar for the shock towers. Did you do anything to the front suspension? I imagine the LS1 is probably the same as or lighter than the staright six it replaced.
Is the stock hood going to fit?

Yes I have a strut bar comming next week. The LS1 is about the same as the 6 it replaced, the T56 is about 40 lbs heaver so I gained about 40 lbs. Should be in the 2800 range. The center of gravity is quite a bit lower with the V8 so handling should be good. Come check out the site I hang at, www.HybridZ.org . That is a really good technical site for conversion related information.
