Started building headers [PICS]
Started building headers [PICS] I bought the GM Performance header flanges a few months ago and started building the headers up finally. I had to have the ports opened up on the flanges to 2 1/16" to make installation of the 1 7/8" BB headers. I choose BB headers because the port seperation was close and existing bends were already close. I also might be adding a power adder in the future. 
Now all I need to do is order some pipe bends, fit and weld.
What do you guys think, coat them or wrap them?

Think of all the time you just put in them and would you want to do that again in a year or 2. The time depends on your location. Coat them, Jet Hot type coating. I have 3 years on my jet hot coated headers and they still look new. They took about 4 days for the turn around. 320.00 ish
I did run mine for a month before I sent them in for coating. I wanted to make sure I didn't have any leaks and they didn't crack with during the month of heat cycles.
I used 350 to Jeep CJ conversion headers and put the stock vette manifolds through my band saw.
