Header lengths? for UK enthusiast! I`m not far away from starting my LS1 in Ford(Mercury) Capri. It`s currently got year 2000 f-body exhausts which fit unmodified exactly right in the car. However I actually now have the money to pay a specialist to make up a set of headers specifically for my application. What is the ideal length of the primaries and collector tubes for an LS1... rough dimensions are all I need to get reasonably close and fitting "long tubes" (because they are much longer than normal??) seems to be the best exhaust modification. Thanks.

If your engine is going to be pretty much standard, save your money use the f body cast iron junk if it fits.
Just go twin 2 1/2" from there back and you will only be down 5-10HP max in the top end.
However my engine I needed to make my own pipes as no standard ones would fit, I went 1 5/8" primaries, 2" secondaries and 2 1/2" collectors.
