How to run speedometer off of C5 transmission

How to run speedometer off of C5 transmission I believe there is a Hall effect sensor in the C5 transmission. Does any one know how I would go about connecting this to an aftermarket speedometer. I do not have the factory wiring harness or ECU.

VSS Sensor If you are talking about the C5 Vette, do you need to know the automatic data or the standard, The 2 have different output gear ratios, based on trans type. The sensor is a PM (Permanent Magnet) Generator which reads in Alternating Current and Voltage varies. Most aftermarket speedo’s have a specific pulse count. You will need to check the with the gauge manufacturer for proper pulse. If the speedo will accept any sine source voltage, splice onto to ONE of the listed colors, yellow or purple / white, then run to the Signal Port of the speedo. If you see movement, and It’s correct, bam you’re done.
