Default AC question..

I want to use the GM PCM to control the system, but I only see the following pins for it:


B DK GRN/WHT PCM 43 A/C Clutch Relay Control
C DK GRN PCM 18 A/C Clutch Status

I would think I would need 3 pins, one for AC request, one for the relay to trigger, and one for the relay to give power to the compressor.

Any thoughts?

For a 2000 Camaro LS1

PCM
C2 pin 17 AC request from hvac switch (+12 volt is on)
C2 pin 14 A/C refrigerant pressure sensor signal
C1 pin 45 A/C +5 volt reference for refrigerant sensor
C2 pin 57 A/C refrigerant pressure sensor ground

plus the two already listed for the a/c clutch

so the "relay control" flips the relay(goes positive?), and the "status" just returns a value of +12 if the compressor is on, or is that the actual +12v wire that runs to the compressor?

PCM provides a ground to turn on A/C clutch relay. A/C clutch status justs sees if relay contatcs close and trhe clutch has +12 volts.

ok, that helps.. thanks!

So what we have is this

AC button to C2 pin 17 AC request from hvac switch (+12)
ground side of relay coil to PCM 43 A/C Clutch Relay Control
I am guessing the wire for the AC compressor is somewhere in those front harness connectors, ill find it and it will go the the switched side of the relay (i assume this goes +12, the clutch is grounded all the time and needs power..)

that should do it.
