Default keep my fuel pump?

I have a 2002 Denali motor I'm putting in my K5 blazer. I have a walbro 255 in tank pump that worked fine for my last f.i. motor but what kind of pressure regulators do ls1 truck motors have? Will I need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator or will I be fine? It looks like I have a normal supply and return line on my motor unlike some ls1's with one.

Your pump should be fine for an LS1. The LS1 needs 58psi to run. If your vehicle already has stock supply and return lines to the engine bay then it would be easier to go with the 9 dual line fuel rail for both of those connections. You will need to place a regulator in the return line and dial it in to the 58psi. You can mount the regulator anywhere between the engine and the tank.

Hopefully someone with this kind of setup will pipe in and confirm their setup to you.

The truck motors already have a FPR right on the fuel rail. Just hook up the supply and return lines and your done.

Will that pressure regulator be OK with an aftermarket fuel pump?

Yes

The regulator doesn't know where the pressures coming from.

As long as it not way to much and overloads the regulator valve. With your pump that your using you should be fine.

Like a wastegate thats to small on a turbo.
