A friend of mine is heavily considering doing a LS1/M6 in a P1800 similar to this:
I know it can be done (anything can) but I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with these cars and some do's and don'ts. I believe it's a unibody structure so I imagine it will need to be reinforced in various locations. Any input?

A friend of mine has the hatchback version and he had Ford Tbird rims on it. I'm assuming the bolt pattern is the same.
I would plan on putting a rollbar in that thing to help stiffen/reinforce the structure. The would be a very cool conversion.

Saw one at a car show, the hatchback version, had a SBC and looked very cool. Perfect canidate for big rims and lowered with an LS1.

That silver conversion is about one of the nicest I've ever seen. Either he shortened the rear bumper... or different years have different versions of them. Very very cool!
I say go for it!

I think he should go for it. It would be nice to talk to someone who has put an SBC in one. Thanks for the pics.
