Default Problems with a S10 v8 swap..

Putting a carbed 350 in a 98 S10. It has long tube headers made by hedman for this swap, problem is the motor mount plates to use and what company. What part number for the motor mounts and plates. Sorry did my search and just didn't see what i wanted. Oh the truck used to be a 4cyl.

Headman makes some mounts.. not sure if they have anything for the 2.2, you can call them and ask, it might take a simple mod to work or they might make them, just not showing them in JEGS.

Bolt holes on the crossmember should all be the same for whatever motor mounts. My 94 truck was a 2.2, and I bolted up the 2.8 style mounts without any problems.

All of the longtubes I"ve seen made are all POS. Goodluck getting those to fit. You will HAVE to get the recommended motor mounts/plates Hedman calls for to get them to fit even decently well.

the newer trucks must be.. i know the 1st gen isnt.. the 4.3 trucks/blazers had pedastools for the engine to mount to... the 2.8 actually bolted to the frame, without the pedastool. ..
