The Hood is Off!
we took the hood off this morning. I am excited and just had to share it with my fellow LS1 swappers. Followed up with removing a couple other body parts and my electric fan so I can see if the F-body fans will fit. It appears they will if I remove the mounting tabs. I was looking at using the F-body radiator also, but it is over an inch too wide for the core support. My radiator cooled my 350 just fine so I will stick with it and either have the outlets changed or search for hoses that will fit. I have done some prep work already, last week I swapped out my open 2.79 gears for 3.80 posi. Wanted to have that done and tested before starting the swap. I have also changed my valve springs, changed over to the LS6 PCV system and have the notched pan from S&P installed. My ECU is at Speartech where John is also making my custom harness, my gas tank and pump are on order from Tanks Inc., I won some CTS-V manifolds on EBay that I am hoping will work. I've got my checklist started, and have been refining it every day. Thanks too all the posters here for all the info so far
, I know I will be coming back for more. I have started a build page at Yahoo Photos, but not much there yet. I will make progress posts as significant events occurPat
