71 camaro, Radiator mod for LS1 I need some help with what rad to use. I have the original camaro rad and a 98 LS1 rad. The LS1 rad has a huge hole just below the drain plug so I am planning to use the rad I have.
My question is, there is a spout just below the cap on the 98 LS1 rad (not the one going to the coolant reservoir). What is this for ( I am thinking it goes to the TB) Is it neccessay or can I just ignore it because my current rad does not have that provision.
The reasons I am leaning towards the original rad is because it is almost new and cools the current 350 just fine, the LS1 fans will mount onto it just fine and I am a college student with a very tight budget.
If this spout is needed, how can modify my rad?
