Default chevelle steering shaft

6.0 transplant into a 72 chevelle. I'm flipping the exhaust manifolds upside down to run a single turbo setup. Unfortunately the steering shaft interferes with the drivers side manifold at the u-joint part of the steering shaft. I tried to clearance the steering shaft but the amount that I have to remove is way too much and I already went through the wall of the joint that contains the u-joint, grease, etc.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to replace it with something with more clearance that I can utilize the stock rag joint and will fit on the splined end of the steering column?

look into a borgenson[spelling?] joint lot of racecar places should have them a bunch smaller than the u-joint on your shaft. jim.m

if the borgeson is too large in diameter try sweet manufacturing.

2002 Camaro manifolds tuck tighter to the block. Might want to take a look at them. I had to use them to clear my frame rails. The difference was about 3 inches when installed normally.
