I just ordered my LS1
I am getting it from a 99 Z28 6 speed with 50,000 miles on it.
What is my shopping list to convert my auto to a T56?
pedal
Which hyd componets do I need?
What else should I be looking at getting right now?
motor mount adapters
transmission crossmember
The LS1 is going in a 73 Z28 by the way.

Where did you get you engine and trans from? I am looking for a LS1/T56 for my 71 camaro.
I also had to convert from an auto to a manual. I got a set of pedals (brake and clutch from ebay) . I then removed the pin where the brake master cylinder rod inserts into and pit it into the upper hole on the manual set brake pedal. I then just installed the two pedals using the longer bolt they came with. I was lucky to find a set with the brake and clutc swith. You also need to cut a hole in your trans tunnel and get an adapter onto which the clutch master cylinder will bolt on to on the firewall.
You need to figure out a fuel system to go with. I am using a pump assembly from tanks inc, Corvette FPR, braided lines and a new gas tank from eBay. I have to cut a hole on top of the tank and weld on a suncken plate so that the pump fittings will clea the trunk floor.
For mounts I am going with S&P syle motor mounts off eBay and trans cross member from BRP hotrod shop.
Ill call up speartech for the wiing harness and computer reprogramming.
For more info do searches on here .This swap has already been discussed.
