Default front coil selection in '69 ls1 gto

Hey all, I'm in the beginning stages of my LS1 conversion on my 1969 GTO. Right now I'm comlpleatly redoing the suspention and I'm trying to figure out what spring rate I should get for my front coils. I know the LS1 is going to drop alot of weight from the front of the car and change the weight distribution, so how do I figure out what coils I need? If someones done this on a 68 or 69 GTO or Chevelle and could tell me what they used that would be awesome. Thanks-Bill

Bill, most guys just go with adjustable coil overs, or just coil spring replacements intended for small block GM motors. The LS1 is about 200 lbs lighter than a smallblock Chevy engine, if that helps any.
