Default 1966 Nova

I'm installing an LS1 gm crate motor complete with harness and computer in a 66 nova with a 4l60e trans. Will be running next week.It has an alston front end, so we had to fab the mount, but not to hard. Will have to make custom headers because of rack and pinion steering.Should be a nice sleeper, these cars are light. Future plans are cam and heads.

That sounds great. I've got a 67 SS that I'd like to convert, but it won't get done for a while.

Keep us informed.

Man, I love Chevy IIs. Killer choice. Does anyone have a link to the solid axle conversions? I know there is a company that sells a beam front axle conversion for them, but I couldn't find a webpage for it.

Hey crazyquik thanks for the interest. Ive got it up and running, still working out the bugs. My main task now is trying to figure out the induction/radiator. Right now i'm just running the stock radiator, with and elbow off the throttle body into a cone k&n filter. .I'm not sure where to post to get info on this since most of these guys are ls1 camaros and firebirds, i used to own one thats why i made the conversion. Anyways to answer your question I haven't of a solid axle for the chevy IIs.I went ahead and got a Chris Alston front end from Chassisworks. Its an upper and lower control arm with rack and pinion steering, it also eliminates bumpsteer. It gives lots of room for the install,i also need to have some custom headers made too.
