LS1 in '88-95 C1500 P/U?
LS1 in '88-95 C1500 P/U? Have any of you ever heard of anyone doing this? I have a really nice '92 Chev. stepside and Extra LS1 complete motor in my garage.
I need info on motor mounts, wiring harness, and will the LS1 bolt up to a 700R4.

which would probably make such a swap much easier. If not from this guy, then possibly from a local yard....
As to the wiring, if you don't have an LS1 harness, vendors like Speartech will sell you one - Painless has one now too. Regular 700R4 will not bolt up. LS1s have a different bellhousing than the 305/350. But the 4L60E (which is basically the same thing) for an LS1 is not too hard to find, and not too expensive either.
