Default TPI neutral safety switch question

i am finising up a tpi swap into a 85 1/2 ton chevy truck and i am stumped. The neutral SS has to be connected but how?

do i supply 12v+ when out of park?
do i ground it when out of park?
or do i do something else?

i have located the NSS on the column of the truck and i have the pin location the computer. I jsut do not know what it needs.

thanks
chris

I have never swapped a TPI engine so I can`t guarantee it but I am pretty sure that the wire should be grounded in park and neutral. That is how GM set it up for the computer controlled carb. and F-body LS1 engines and GM is usually pretty consistent.
