How bout a hybrid jeep wrangler powered by a sump pump motor

<strong>It shouldn't be much more difficult than a std SBC except for the EFI requirements. Advanced adapters has the mounts for the motor but I am not sure about the tranny. You might have to run a turbo 350. I would like to see if the LS1 is lighter than the 4.0 jeep motor. That Iron block, head, and intake does whight some. What I would do is throw the LS1 in their and trade intakes and computer with a 6liter truck guy. That way you can get some mor low end torque.
I have some pictures of a 2000 (not sure, it's a TJ though) with an LS1 and the stock 5 speed from the Jeep. He loves the acceleration (did it for the sleeper/racing reason) and gets 22-24mpg.
My Jeep is going to be daily driver/offroad fun truck..so racing isn't the idea. I have a 3" susp lift/1" body lift with 33's currently, just want more pep to it, with an automatic.
FWIW, I've read several places that the 4.0 I6 is heavier than an L98 (the old popular swap). The inline 6 from Jeep is a big heavy motor, so going to an iron block 8 with aluminum heads has to be either lighter or about the same. Going to an LS1 would definitely cut weight.
