how the heck did you get your hands on that...thought all those gm prototypes were high security and had to be crushed beyond repair without any salvagable pieces?? I could only dream of getting my hands on some of those vehicles

plus the setup wont help you much if youre trying to do this..... the engine blocks themselves were pretty custom..... the crank was shortened stuff like that. TEEKAY isnt using any of those parts on his setup if im not mistaken. just bought them at the begining and it ended up they wernt of use.
maybe ill dig up the thread of his swap if you all would like to see it??

My apologies on the delayed response, I hadn't checked the sight in a few days. They were designed for the Impala SS prototype but can be used on any W-body. A trans adapter would need to be fabricated but typically a 4t65e-HD is used. There are plenty of HD aftermarket parts available for these trans as well.
I bought the parts from a another member of this board some time ago. He is very well known in the community but I don't want to give his name out without permission. Yes, they are the same parts that Loyde/Fast Fiero's is using on his LS1 Fiero (so yes Hummingbird, you are wrong). Loyde has actually educated me on what he's had to do so far.
These parts were the same as used on the prototype so obviously they do work. What you are basically getting is a much more compact front cover/pulley/assesory drive set, an oil pan designed to fit the W-body, and a right (rear) exhaust manifold designed for FWD applications. I know Loyde added a pully to better engage the water pump.
I have pictures and will post links soon.

Viking, if these are the pieces that Loyde got, then they ARE needed for an LSx swap into the W-body. They are the only starting point that I know of and well worth it if you are going to take on the project.
