Default 68 Camaro Project

Im about 50% done with the project. My inspiration was the incredible pro-touring camaros built by Mark Stielow and others. Heres the specs:

All steel 68 body
12 pnt roll cage
2 in. mini tub
Global West CAT 5 front suspension kit
Global West leaf springs
willwood brakes 13in front and 12in rear
narrowed moser 12 bolt with 3.73's and Eaton posi
17x8.5 with Yoko 245/40's and
18x10.5 with 295/35's
Wheels from Complete Custom Wheels

I was a SAM student, so I built the engine there with their help.

382 big bore LS1
4.100 x 3.622
Manley Tour Lite 6.300 rods(they weight nothing)
Wiseco pistons 1.120 CH
stock crank
LS1 heads flow about 300-305 cfm in
2.055in 1.60ex ferrea valves
Jesel Rockers
Custom LSM solid roller 237
LS6 intake
Ed Wright programmed computer

I hear that Stainless Works makes a header for a LS1 to fit a 1st gen camaro, anyone know? Dont want to pay for custom headers

4L60E with HD clutch packs
Yank ST 4000
Manual Valve Body
Shift kits ect.

Est Performance
Mid to low 11's with 10.5 slicks
pull .9x on skid pad

I'll try to post some pics soon...

Wow, your car is going to be awesome. What have you done about the steering, or have you gotten the LS1 to clear the stock steering box. I am just starting my LS1 in 60's Camaro project now, and am trying to figure out what needs to be modified to put the Ls1 in a stock first gen subframe. Cool car, sounds like its going to be fun!
