MACHINE WORK REQUIRED FOR LS6 INTAKE ON A 6.0?
i REALIZE THE TRUCK INTAKE WONT WORK, BUT IN ORDER TO PUT A LS6 INTAKE ON WILL ANY MACHINE WORK BE REQUIRED, OR IS IT A DIRECT FIT? i WILL BE USING THE ALUMINUM HEADED 6.0 LITER AND i WANT TO KEEP THE HEADS.

The LS6 intake uses different coolant lines underneather it to clear the larger plenum volume. You can either machine the intake ridges on the bottom to clear the LS1 lines or just buy the proper LS6 coolant lines and your good to go with no machining!

eXCELLENT, I ASSUME THE COOLANT LINES FOR A LS6 ARE CHEAPER AND EASIER THEN THE MACHINE WORK, SO TO BERGER CHEVY I GO <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I used the reverse, put 6-lt. on the ls1.
I had to use the truck water pump and alt. brackets to clear the intake.
Do not know if the opposit will be required for you.

I am having Texas Motorsports put a 99 LS1 into an 82 C/K Blazer, and want to use the 6.0 intake. I really want the taller manifold for looks primarly, but I am hoping for torque gains too. I don't understand why you would need the truck water pump and alt brackets to clear the intake. Can you please explain?
