Default Swapping in an LS1/4l80e

Alright fellas....need some advice/opinions.
Im swapping an LS1 and 4L80e into a highly modified jeep cherokee xj. its important to note im starting stock, but id like to bump it up to 400hp w/ bolt ons and ls6 manifolds and heads, maybe a cam in the next year. im aslo going to grab a 100shot to put in immediately after i finish the swap. i really want to use a 4l80e, because it should have decent HP/TQ, and i run some pretty serious gearing. i also want to make the swap emmissions legal, so all the smog equipment will stay on it for now. there are some odds and ends id like to try and resolve before i begin, so here we go....

1)Fuel system-
im going to be using a 22gal fuel cell mounted in the bed. i basically need to blueprint a fuel system from cell to engine.
id like to use an external fuel pump. what dia. line will i need (more than likely get some russel stainless braided fuel line) and can someone recommend a very solid pump? how much should it be able to flow.
i understand that LS1s do not use a return line for the fuel injection, so will i only need one line running from tank to engine?
i also believe i need fitting in the line for a fuel pressure sensor. i think ive seen one of those in summit. just plugs into the line with a hole for the sensor?
anything else im missing?
2) Wiring
does a stock ls1+4l60e harness work w/ a 4L80e, or will it need modification? if it matters at all, the 4l80e is rev manual valvebody.
if it does need modification, can anyone recommend a company for custom mods to the harness as well as computer reprogramming? so far ive checked out speed scene, and centech, as well as painless (but i hear painlesses customer service doesnt quite fit the company name, but thats just hearsay)
Bottom line: whats the easiest way to get this wired up and runnung (dont mind spending a couple more bucks if it will actually save a bunch of time/work)

3)Cooling-
for my application, im more than likely going to have to get a custom radiator made. itll be 2 core alum, probably from becool.
how much vol will i need to keep the ls1 rock solid cool. this vehicle will see long days in hot climate, so something strong is good. anyone make a recommendation for a elec fan to compliment it?

Misc-
the truck will see alot of time at extreme angles, any thoughts on using an oil accumulator on the engine to make sure its well lubes at angles, or does it hold oil pressure very well at angles like a 5.0?
what mufflers sound nice on this engine? i was just gonna use a 3in flowmaster 40 series delta flow. i like a nice deep throaty tone (i know, who doesnt)
in any case, if you can humor me with an answer to any of these questions, id be much oblidged.
thanks in advance, ive just got my insurance check from the last truck, so were ready to start puttin this thing together!

Here are a few things that might help.

I think the wiring harness for the 4L60E will work since I've heard that a stock computer can be used for this swap as long as it is programmed for the 4L80E. Check in the conversions forum for more info. Speartech can probably help you with the harness if need be and they can be found in the conversions forum. Actually, this post will probably get moved over there sooner or later.

The LS1 fuel system does have a return line. It is before the fuel filter back by the fuel tank. The non adjustable regulator is in the tank.

Since your going to run an external pump and fuel cell you could run custom fuel rails and regulator. You may want to get in touch with someone at www.ls1speed.com about your fuel system. They can setup a complete system for you, minus the lines that you have to bend.

Cooling
Alot of the truck guys are using the radiator out of a 6.0L truck(its bigger) along with either LT1 or LS1 electric fans. They both fit the 6.0L core relatively well, have shrouds, and flow alot of air. Flex-a-lite also has a e-fan setup for the 6.0L rad that flows like 5000+cfm.

I don't know about the oil stuff but anything to help oil flow couldn't be bad.

Good luck. Sounds like a cool project.
