Default thoughts on my exhaust plan....

hey guys, ive got a 200 vette ls1 going into a jeep.
i hae a few questions on the exhaust setup im planning to run (not fitment issues, so it should be common for all ls1 cars)

in any case, im running the stock vette headers for now, until i get everything situated in the engine bay.

i plan on running an offroad Ypipe with a single 3in Random Tech Cat, 3in pipe, and a 3in inlet/exit magnaflow muffler.

my questions mainly pertain to the O2 sensor placement.
now ive got the two upstreamers plugged into the headers, and im about to order a wiring harness for it.
question is what should i do with the downstream o2 sensors.
ive ordered a tap/efilive/ and ls1 edit for tuning as well.
here in MD, we just have a sniffer test, and a simple visual just to make sure oyu have a cat underneath, and as long as i have one cat on, i shouldnt have any problems passing, especially considering an LS1 runs alot cleaner than the jeep 4.0 its replacing.

so basically id like a recommendation on an off road y pipe, and what to do with the downstream o2s.
thanks guys]

Why not just leave them hooked up if you are running CAT's...they won't cost you any power!

Like John says, if you have the cat, you may as well leave the downstream O2. Then the problem becomes what to do with the wiring since the PCM is expecting 2 separate signals from 2 separate downstream O2 sensors.

I'm not an electronics wizard (although I play one on TV), but I would imagine that the leads could just be pigtailed together and go to the same sensor.

heres a little heads up on emissions. sure the ls1 might be cleaner than the 4.0, but mopar didnt offer an ls1 in the jeep. you MIGHT have a problem with the sight portion of the test. i have a pretty good background in jeeps(older one though) and a lot of people you talk to that put different motors in there jeeps couldnt pass smog because that motor wasnt offered in the vehicle. even replacing the older 304 with a 305 chevy wouldnt pass an inspection. now the chances of getting an inspector to notice the change are very low, but you might not luck out. just my .02
