Default Ls1 in a iroc

Changed my mind and decided to go with an 87 Iroc. I purchased the car for $200 can’t beat that. The irocs 5.0 harness is still in tact. I have 02 vette engine stock harness and computer, here I go with the ???

1. Do I have to change the oil pan or will the vette oil pan clear.

2.Will I have to change the computer to an A4 computer; the one I have is an M6 computer

3. Does any one now were I can get my harness and computer redone for a low price.

4. Will the stock 5.0 fuel pump work or will I have to replace it. I have the stock 02 vette pump just not shore if I should replace or not.

Any help would be appreciated.

i wouldnt mind knowing also incase i decide to do the LS1 in my 82Z-28. It was a 305/200R4 car and was done into a 350,350 car with a 600 Holley ,inline Holley fuel pump,HEI, and no a/c or computer. I have added a Holley pro-injection setup to this (150$ what a deal). I wanna maybe do a LS1 and also need to know if the 2 pumps would do it or not, and what else is needed for this

The owner of Hawks Third Gen Parts did a third gen firebird with an LS1 in it. I saw it at the Trans Am Nationals in Dayton, OH last August. I'd ask him....I think their website is http://www.hawksthirdgen.com???

1. I don't think the Vette pan will work. It's close enough with the standard F-car pan. But I haven't tried the Vette pan to say for sure.

2. The actual computer you have is fine. It will just need to be reprogrammed for an A4.

3. Well of course!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

4.My stock TPI pump has carried me to 11.71 at over 116 mph in the quarter mile, without skipping a beat. I guess it depends on the condition of the pump.

The website for Hawks Third Parts is www.hawksthirdgenparts.com. I don't think there is anything on it about his swap. I talked to him at the Trans Am Nationals in Dayton. He said he had someone else do most of the swap due to time issues. Maybe you can email him for more information.

Take a look at the post before this one. Speartech has been great about answering questions in this swap forum.
