I just purchased a 1995 camaro v6 car. transplanting a ls1. What I cant seem to find any info on is the engine wiring harness and guage compatibility. Can I swap a 1998 harness and computer in, will the stock 1995 gauges work? If anyone out there can help it would be appreciated.

As long as you get the right wire to the right gauge, they will work fine. Your tach will be off of course, but it will be off anyway since the LS1 tach signal is the equivalent of a 4 cylinder reading. On my own car (91 Z28) I custom calibrated the tach by finding the correct resistor on the circuit board and then added a pot to dial it in properly.

Okay but will the stock harnesses exchange from year to year (underhood V6 to LS1). There both OBD2 so is the connection between the front and rear harness the same.
