Re: First gen LS1 headers
We made custom made the set for my car in house, we are working to have them ready for sale sometime in the spring!
Check out the JAN issue of Popular Hot Rodding there is a feature on the engine swap!

Re: First gen LS1 headers
You may want to check out Year One. They have a 69 camaro that they put an ls1 into. Most of the parts that they fabbed up for the project they now sell, including the headers. I can't remember all the details about them, but there was a feature on the car a few months back in Hot Rod. There's also a thread on the car in the lounge. Hope this helps.
Here's that link year one camaro

Re: First gen LS1 headers
Try Stainless Works or Street and Performance. They both make 1st Gen LS1 headers and mounts.

Re: First gen LS1 headers
Pretty sure someone below already tried the Year One (Stainless Steel Works) headers and at this point they do not clear with out dimpling a tube to clear the steering box. They were setup on car with front steer and a rack. Hopefully they are working on a fix. I would prefer to go with those (assuming steering box issue resolved) as they are long tube headers with 1 3/4" primaries and S&P are shorties with unknown primary size...look like 1 5/8" but hopefully 1 3/4".
Still looking at my choices myself...hope something turns up...unless I do the twins like I am considering.

Re: First gen LS1 headers
thanks guys this all helps. MADSCI i saw your car on that video and it looks awsome. my car is also a 67 and i decided to run my LS1 in there instead of my 2002 Z28. only thing is that this car is a true L78 4K code car so i dont want to go to far with it that could make it unrestorable in the future. just make a post when you guys have them for sell.
thanks again, steve.
