Default Altenator wirring question

I'm using a painless wirring harness for my car. It doesn't have the plug that goes into the altenator. Will the altentor work without this plug not being hooked up?? I don't care about not using a charge light. I just want the alenator to work.

You need to hook that plug up for proper operation. That allows the voltage regulator to function properly. The "biggies" tend to skip a few of these important details in their harnesses. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

If you'll read thru this thread, I covered the PROPER way to hook it up.
