Wiring Harness Connectors

Wiring Harness Connectors Hi All,
I have a 2002 LS1 and T56 from a Firebird. It came with the computer and all of the engine wiring harness attached. It did not come with the car wiring harness that would connect the engine wiring up to the rest of the car. I want to make my own wiring harness. Where does the wiring harness for the car that connects up to all the gauges etc. connect onto the engine wiring harness. I see a bunch of connectors hanging off of the engine wiring harness, are these where I would connect to? If so where would I get connectors that will plug into these connectors on the engine wiring harness.

Re: Wiring Harness Connectors You will probably be best off getting the 2002 helms manuals. They will show all the info you are looking for. You also need to think about VATs, and all the other hook ups

The answer to your question is yes.
If you want to get together some time we could go over the harness and tag what you need and don't need. Just bring the harness with you. My manuals should give us most of the info until you get yours.

I'll give you a call this weekend. Are you going to be around? I'll have to see how difficult it will be to take the engine wiring harness off the engine. You are aware that I have no body harness, just what came on the engine.

Re: Wiring Harness Connectors No plans that I know of right now. Just tag the stuff as you take them off but you shouldn't have any problems as the connectors themselves are colour coded. The coil pack harnesses can stay on the engine. Installing the engine initially is usually easier without the harness.
