58 Vette with LS6/T56 - How do I get the speedo to function?
I've fitted an LS6 engine and a T56 transmission into my 1958 Corvette. I want to keep the original look of the speedo, so how do I convert electronic to mechanical? I'm told there are 3 options:
1. fit an "x box" which converts the electronic impulse to a mecanical cable. Don't know anything about this though.
2. Relocate the VSS to the other side of the transmission housing and install a mechanical gear drive where the VSS came from.
3. Adapt electronic speedo internals to my original speedo housing.
What is the best solution? Does anyone know who can do the machining for option 2? Thanks
