clutch bleeding problems

clutch bleeding problems I finally installed the clutch master cylinder with a homemade bracket. It works well on the bench and in the car. I also performed the "drill mod". I blew out the line with fluid and a compressor after. I didn't bench bleed it. I tried to just bleed it in the car but am getting no fluid out of the bleeder! Just air gurgling noises. Any idea why? Should I disconnect from tranny and try to bleed the cylinder first and then connect to the tranny an bleed again?
Re: clutch bleeding problems You could take it out to bench bleed it but you really don't need to. The best bet is to use a pressure bleeder. If you don't have access to one you can "gravity" bleed the system by removing the cap on the master to let air push behind the fluid and open the bleeder valve on the slave then just let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye on it though....if all of the fluid drains out you'll be right back where you started!
