Default LS6 motor mounts

Does the ls6 use the same motor mounts as an ls1? I want to put an ls6 in my 69 camaro.

Yes, they share the same pattern. You also have a few choices on which plates to use in your conversion. One manufacturer uses the stock Gen I type mounts and adapts them to their plate, but they will actually raise the engine and sometimes that creates tunnel clearance issues.

There are a few drawings available on the net for your chocie as well.

The ATS LSx mounts on the other hand, were designed specifically for your application and utilize the same type stock mount. But, it is mounted upside down and it keeps the engine in its proper location and also lowers it a little without any issues. This will give you more room for the transmission of your choice and slightly improves the CG.
