Autotap won't connect?
Pin2: Data, DkGrn (1040)
Pin4: ground (chassis ground)
Pin5: PCM ground (451)
Pin16: 12v+ (fused)
Pin1 is far left top (connector is wider at the top), pin 16 is directly below that. So I have then switched them left to right on the ATAP connector (since it would normally plug into these pins): ie, looking directly at the atap connector, narrow side down, I have 12v+ going to the far right bottom pin, DkGrn going to the 2nd pin from the right on the top, and the 2 grounds going to the middle top pins.
I also tried adding the "other" data line (orange/blk wire) - that didn't help.
I cannot get either Autotap or EFILive to connect. This is frustrating because the SES light is on. I've let the motor run a few times. It hesitates on throttle blip and one time it started surging and then died.
Do I have these pinouts correct? I guess tomorrow I will double verify that my DkGrn comes from pin58 of the blue PCM connector. Also, I have that 451 PCM ground going to chassis ground. So, I'm not sure why you need the 2 separate grounds for the DLC. Also, the ATAP connector LED stays off. Tried connecting while the engine was running and also with ignition On, not running.
BUT, still no autotap. I filled out the form online for support. This sucks.
I dunno - this seems pretty simple - only 4 wires.
