Can anyone tell me what was used for lift brackets when lowering your engine into the engine bay? Mfr and P/N? Source? Where do they mount? Can they be mounted without disassembly of the intake manifold or acessories? My research tells me that GM left these out because the engine bay on F-Bodies were designed to lower the engine on removal. thanks - LM

I pulled the manifold and used the accessory holes on the heads. Worked great. I was afraid of a chain touching and cracking the intake as it seems fragile. I've seen people use 2 towing straps, each wraped around the exhaust manifold and then to the hoist.

Places like autozone sell the lift bracket that adjust the lifting point forward or back to adjust the angle. Hook to the heads, but put cardboard or cloth in-between the head and chain. It will keep from marring the finish if that is important to you.

Thanks for the help. I brought up the question when I saw the item on Ebay. I decided the bracket design was too likely to damage my intake manifold so I did some more research and bought some generic lift brackets from Eastwood that I could fasten to the accessory ends of the heads. Thanks again.
