Try the GN/TR electric fan. Works great or use the stock LT1/LS1 F-body set-up.

I used a Spal 16" fan that flows around 2500 cfm. It makes quick work of cooling down the engine when it kicks on!

Nothing is as good at cooling the engine like the stock fans. They pull a lot of air. Even 2 Spal 16" fans will have a hard time competing, plus the aftermarket fans are louder. If you can fit the stockers do it. They are also cheaper, and usually built fo rthe long haul.

I'd like to second this. Those pancake style aftermarket fans don't even come close to moving as much air as the OEM types I don't care how neat they look.

I used a set out of an LT1 F-body for my Olds. Fit very well and look stock. I just had to do some minor trimming.
They also do a better job of keeping the 455 cool as opposed to the aftermarket Black Magic fan I had on there before.
Here's a pic http://home.woh.rr.com/designsofarch...e/lt1_fans.jpg
Pay no attention to the muffler straps holding it in. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I have since made a pair of aluminum brackets for it.
