Default Grounding battery from trunk

S&P says you have to ground your battery directly to the motor. What is the difference if you ground the battery to the frame and the motor to the frame? How have you guys done it? Thanks, John

Same here my battery is in the other end of the car. I did run a heavy gauge cable directly to the starter.
