Default Guess the sensor game

Hi wise ones,

Having received my LS1, I'm now in the process of pulling bits off to assess what condition things are in. I've removed the loom and have labled all the connectors with the name of the sensor they are connected to......apart from this one - I give in , what is it? Pleeeese

Thanks all

Jim

How long is that wire, if its long enough to go between 1-3 injector its the evap solenoid, if it looks like it clips near the number 7 injectors on the fuel rail end its the MAP sensor.

It's near the No 7, and the "thing" does have vacuem tube back to the MAP sensor - this is where I appear dumb....I thought the MAP sensor was the one on the back of the Intake Manifold?

Tks

That's the AIR pump solenoid. If you aren't running emissions equipment that can all go away.

Looks like a late 2000 engine.

Guys,

Many thanks, It'll hit the bin 1st thing in the morning Not feeling emmisions friendly for this fit.

John, spot on with late 2K, I'm guessing I can ditch all the evap stuff as well? (fuel tank has it's own vent) and program out with HPT or EFI live (another deceision not made yet!)

Rgds

Ah the Australian LS1's dont have an air pump, they were my closest 2 guesses as thats all the aussie motors have on that side besides the ignition and injector wiring.
