Question Can we talk transmission mounts?

I will be fabricating a transmission crossmember for my swap. I will probably start with either the TCI or Transdapt kit. My question has to do with the mount itself. My 4L60E had a single bolt mount on it, most of the crossmembers seem to be set for a 2 bolt mount. I have compared the single bolt mount to a 2 bolt and either one would bolt to my transmission and they are about the same height. Is there an advantage to one over the other? Besides making one less bolt to fasten, why did GM switch to the single bolt mount? What are you guys using on yours?

thanks

Pat

Default

The poly mounts have provisions for both setups, single and dual bolts. Thats what I have used and plan to use in my 67 Camaro.
