NEED HELP: 1968 Camaro LS1 Swap
I recently ran into deal that cannot pass up. a buddy of mine wants to put a carburated motor in his 99 camaro and i want his ls1. i have a 68 camaro with a muncie 4 speed. he is giving me everything from the fuel pump to the radiator including the pcm and wiriing harness.
First: is this do-able with out spending too much?
Second: what problems did you run into?
Third: does the muncie 4 speed bolt up to the bell housing? (if not i can most likely make something to fit the application)
Any info will help. thanks

the search function is your friend, after about 10 hours of reading you should be just about all set. and most likely too much is just about how much this swap will cost, im already about 7500 deep in parts and not quite done, however im not exactly goin bare bones on it.

you can get a bellhousing from mcleod i think that will bolt up to the 4 speed. Since you will have all the parts u can use almost everything (radiator, etc). the only real money i see you spending is on the oil pan or headers depending on which route you go. this is just a quick answer. and i am by no means covering aspect.
