Default Torque Arm Mount?

Got the engine and transmission in this weekend still lots to do but making progress. Found a new problem though, the torque arm mount doesn't work. What are you 3rdGen guys doing for a mount? This is a LS1/4L60E going into an 88 GTA. I can probably make up a plate with holes to match the 4L60E and then weld my old 700R4 mount to it or just find a new 4L60E mount. Wondered what others were doing for this.

Has anyone made up a bracket to mount any where else but on the transmission? Noticed some of the aftermarket adjustables are mounting to the cross brace. Any input appreciated.

I'm using the same torque arm I was using w/ my old L98 and T56...plain old LG Motorsports standard F-Body replacement piece.

It sounds like you maybe didn't get a 4L60E out of an F-Body car? You'd need that tailshaft housing w/ the holes for the torque arm mount.

The 4L60E has three holes in the tail shaft just not in the same spot as they were on the 700R4. Maybe the T56 cases didn't change at all but the autos did? That's why I'm asking for other 3rdGen's with a LS1/4L60E to chime in so I can make sure I don't have something going wrong here.

Lets add on another item along the same line. The transmission cooler lines from the 700R4 were screw in, the 4L60E has quick disconnects (at least that's what it looks like). With a little bending it appears the lines I've got will work. So I either need to replace the transmission fittings or the connectors on the tubing. Any ideas?
