LS1 in a ranger???

LS1 in a ranger??? Towards the end of this winter i plan on getting a 402 or 408 for my trans am. So I will have me an LS1 just lying around. I was thinking of putting it in my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT. Now my question are as follows:
1. Is this even possible?
2. Does it require large amounts of modification?
3. What modifications would i need to do?
4. Would I need to buy a whole bunch of stronger parts for the drivetrain?
5. Anything else i should know about this?

I've seen a SVT Lightning powertrain in there, which is OHC with a supercharger, so I would think an LS1 wouldn't have any trouble physically fitting into the engine bay. I'm sure it would involve a whole lot of custom fabrication, though.
