Default 1961

Hi Mr. McGraw,
I would love to befriend you. I have a 1961. I took the frame off, had it straightened, sand blasted and powder coated. The coating has a bit of a tacky feel and the powder coater said that this will reduce rock chips. I may lift the body back off (only resting on with the body bolts intact) and re-spray it to normal. I like the job but some future buyer may not consider it truly powder coated, though it is.
I have my eye on a wrecked Cadillac CTS-V with the Tremec 6060. The car came with the Muncie 4 speed. I also have a rebuilt 480LE but I am 80% sure I want to go keep it a manual. The 480 pan sits quite low an I am not sure about ground clearance.
I have all new front suspension with R&P, disk brakes and coil overs by Jim Meyer's Racing.
Q1. Did you run into any problems getting your transmission shifter aligned into the hole?
Q2. If you end up with any extra parts (new stuff) please let me know. I have.a ton of old stuff. I also have a year correct cast iron powerglide.
Q3. Did you go with a 15 inch steering wheel?
Q4. What wheels, differential did you end up using
I wish I could see photos but I don't have Facebook and I saw that VillagePhotos needs Facebook account to sign up. I do have gmail.
Thank you so very much,
Dr,GrantWalker
