2001 V6 to LS6

2001 V6 to LS6 yes i do own a V6, and i am tired of the loss of power and people makeing fun of my car.
I allwas wanned a 98-02 blue camaro with silver or white strips, with power everything, and T-tops, and a 6speed. I spent 2 years looking for a camaro close to this. I then found my 2001 camaro with every thing i wanned, but the t-tops, and it had a 5speed. I now want to change this car in to one of my dream cars. Ok let me get to the point.
What the best way for me to get an Ls6 with 450HP in to my camaro, with out killing my bank account.
I meet this kid at a Tire Plus store and he gave me the idea about geting a 4th gen camaro from a junk yard with a good motor. I then can use that car for all its parts and put its motor, and every thing els i need in to my car. Then i can find the top half of the LS6 somewhere and put it on.
What do you think? how much money am i looking at spending?
