oh alright i see now, you might look for a wrecked body of a z or somethin like that man, that is if you could sell the jeep for the $ ? and fix it up ( i bought a 99' v6 wrecked for 3g's fixed and painted for around a grand ) so i'm sure you'd atleast get 4 g's outta the jeep lol. if not then i can't help you b/c i have no idea bout puttin it into a jeep sorry bud.

An 03 Rubicon is not cheap dude, i would just not get the jeep, and go with a Vette or something, i dont know where you are located or anything so i dont know if you are basing off bad weather or not, but i would not ruin a jeep that is that nice, just trade it in for an LS1 car. IMO thats the easiest thing to do if you want the power of an LS1. Now if your plannin on making a crazy trail rig out of the jeep i would say hell ya do it, but if your just wanting it for a street jeep then its a waste.

It can be done but will take some $$$.Your best friends will be Advanced Adapters and Street and Performance. When it's all done it'll be a ton of fun.

dont mess up a rubi.....and btw they don't have v6's.......they're inline and they are great for crawling...It's hard to keep up with both loves...wheeling and rodding. You will likely have to make a choice what one you'd rather sink your money into.

Scrap the Rubicon idea and get a '97 Wrangler for $4-5g's then drop whatever motor tranny you want in. You'll be money ahead.

I'm about done with my 6.0 swap into my '93 Wrangler YJ, just waiting on a wiring harness, then have my exhaust run. So far the only special items I'll have to buy are the harness, exhaust, and throttle cable. My donor vehicle came with a computer that was already reprogrammed, I think it runs a couple hundred bucks.

I was able to re-use the donor motor mounts and stock exhaust manifolds, but conversion specific mounts and headers are available.

I wouldnt mess with it. If you want a Jeep with an LS1 find an older one (Jeep) from early 90's 80's (just not the squared headlight ones...they bother me). No reason to tear into a perfectly fine runnign 03 Rubi unless it is asking for it (wrecked), those inline 6 are pretty stout and are good motors. Like others have mentioned, if you have access to an LS1 find and LT1 year V6 F-bod and then perform some oper heart surgery.

man i just sold my camaro about 3 months ago and bought an 05 rubicon. its not built to outrun anything (and i mean every word of that ). but you cant stop it in the mud and especially rocks. i tried it out in the mud last night and it never phased it to go through 8-10" of mud. if you are interested in a motor swap, i would sell your LS1 motor and tranny and throw a hemi in it. there is a lot less work and a lot of the computer stuff is the same. if you are interested in it, i have a website that i have been drooling over for months. just thought i would lend my advice...good luck with your decision
