Default Drive Shaft Yoke

I am looking at the Drive shaft yoke from my donor TransAm and it has a metal ring around it that looks like a small balancer. I have a 4L60E Transmission. I plan to use the drive shaft, after some shortening, that I had in the car plugged into a Turbo 350. The splines of the yokes are the same, in fact I am using the T350 yoke as a plug in the 4L60E right now to keep fluid in while I move the motor in and out. Can I use my T350 yoke or does the 4L60E need the specific yoke with the "balance" ring?

Would this be a better question for the transmission forum?

thanks

Pat

It should work. I am going to reuse my th350 27 spline yoke for my T56.

The 4L60 doesn't really need that dampener, it was just to "tune out" some specific harmonics.

Thanks guys. I will use my old drive shaft and yoke and hold the LS1 unit in reserve just in case.
