Default GENIII in 69 C20 4x4

Hello to all,
I'm new to this board, so please be gentle! Browsed through six pages, and didn't see a thread related to installing a GENIII in an older 4x4. I'm putting it in a 69 Chevy C20 4x4. Basically stock drivetrain. The engine is out of a 2000 Silverado 1500 4x4. I have the engine bolted to tranny(TH350), but utilizing the factory engine crossmember and frame mounts does not seem feasible. I currently have engine/tranny jacked up as far as possible. Doesn't seem to help. It will not clear the oil pan currently on the GENIII. Has anyone attempted this in the 67-72 chevy 4x4 crowd? Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Petersons 4 wheel & Offroad did one into an '85 Blazer. http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/brandpa...eng/index.html
You could try the Camaro oilpan. Its only 5.5" deep while the truck pan is 8.5".
