would an aftermarket k-member give me enough room to use regular ls1 longtube headers?

No, as far as ive heard there is no way unless you modify them alot. Your only chance is to get the Hawks built LT headers. They are very well built and fit very well. just be prepared to spend 1K$

Try calling UMI performance, I seem to recall seeing a ls1 conversion up there, my be he could shed some light on the subject for you

Its not only the K-Member that causes problems with stock 4th gen headers, its also the frame rails.

I've said it a hundred times, so I won't explain it again, take 5 minutes and do a search
