ASA LS1 race motor
as far as I know the are built my LPE and its just a cam and valve train upgrade with a LS6 oil pump. But who knows what you will get with it, or what is on the ECM for that matter.
They are pretty stout little motors. They are indeed built by LPE and include the ASA cam and CNC ported LS6 heads. Supposed to be over 400 Hp. Best bet is to call Lingenfelter and get the specs.
i have a book on the motor. i am putting one in my 69 chevelle. are you using dry sump and all? i will post the specs of it if you are interested. my motor came out of our asa car we ran for 100 laps.

Yes, I am interested in learning alot more about these motors and the LSx in general. I still have to decide on an engine trans combo for my 67 Firebird. I could use the 428 Poncho that I have or go for the LSx but I'm not sure about the best LSx engine to get. Any advise, I've read just about everything I have found on the subject.
I would almost go with the LS motor. it is such a simple engine in general. the asa motor in my chevelle definately looks different with all the dry sump lines going everywhere. i will take some pics and post them for you to look at. as far as the book, i will see what i can do on getting another copy for you. and specs you need feel free to ask.
