I am thinking of putting an LS1 in my 1987 GTA. What exactly do I need to keep on it to have it emission legal? It will be a stock engine with a T56. I know you obviously need to keep the EGR but will it make it without the AIR system? Also I remember seeing on here once an adapter if you are to use the A/C compressro that bolts to the compressor and has threads I think on the other end so you can have someone make some lines. Does anyone know what I am talking about and where I can get it. Thanks

It depends on what type of emmissions testing you have. I live in CT and my car
passed the sniffer test-I was then failed for the visual because I did not have a cat
What state do you live in and how do they test?

I live in Rhode Island and the guy I go to just sticks the car on the machine and dynos it he never lifts the hood. As long as it passes the sniffer he will put a sticker on it.
