Does this sound like a decent combo, a 6.0L out of a 3/4 ton truck, with home ported LS1 heads, LS6 intake, with a ported Tb, heads? Any thing that sould be changed, and what would be a good cam, aftermarket, or stock cam out of a _____ ?
What is the deal with the LQ? motors?
And what or how to put a LS? motor in a 93-97 camaro or ta?
Thanks.

are you going for high compression then? or do you plan on supercharge/turbo
also you might want to think about getting it bored out and stroking it....i think you can get that motor to 408 cubes....then you can make some serious power

I ahve seen these motors with just a cam swap make 430-450 fwhp. They have the LS6 design heads with a larger chamber. A cam in the 230/238 .590/.600 ish range work very well on them. With ported heads,a good cam and intake I have seen some make as much as 466 rwhp on the stock bore/stroke! I just built one for a fox body and it made 493 fwhp with the above mentioned parts (stock heads)!
